After my LASIK eye vision I’m finding that the smaller things in life I’m enjoying the most. There’s been a cold snap in Southern Ontario this week and going in and out of buildings I haven’t need to worry about my glasses fogging up. It’s nice not having to keep a cloth with me to wipe them clean in order see once inside. But today the company I work for, Desire2Learn, gave it’s employees a free screening of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. It also happens to be the first movie I’ve seen after I’ve my laser corrective surgery.
It never really dawned on me how much my glasses affected the visual clarity and my enjoyment of a movie. I was expecting a visually stunning movie, but wow! I guess after 24 years I got used to how how smudged, dirty or scratched up my lenses were! My field of view was also so wide I never fully appreciated how movie directors frame their shots until today – the complete scene was fully visible which was a joy. I’m wondering if has to do with the frames of my glasses no longer interfering with my peripheral vision or that when I was wearing them I was unconsciously focusing my vision in the center of the lenses.
Thanks again TLC Laser Eye Centers – my LASIK surgery results so far have exceeded my wildest expectations!
